By volunteering with Lifeline North Coast as a Crisis Supporter, you can be a voice of calm, empathy and support when someone needs it most. Our volunteers are the heart of our service, helping people in crisis find their way through their darkest moments — and reminding them they are not alone.
As a Crisis Supporter, you’ll provide one-off emotional support over the phone to people experiencing distress, mental health concerns, or crisis. Your presence on the line can offer a sense of safety, connection, and hope.
Volunteers complete the nationally accredited CHCSS00113 Crisis Support Skill Set, delivered on behalf of Lifeline Australia RTO 88036. Training is comprehensive and takes place over 12 months, including blended e-learning and face-to-face modules, placement, and internship. On completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for three nationally recognised units in crisis support and suicide prevention.
Be 18 or older and an Australian/New Zealand citizen or hold a suitable visa
